  50. Don't miss out!
  51. About the Author

I gripped her wrist and pressed her hand harder into my chest. “And you’re Fallon Montgomery,” I teased, lowering myself closer to her.

“What makes the most prolific bad boy interested in me? Why do you like me?” Her fingers ever so gently squeezed my chest in response to me pressing her hand further into my chest.

Grab my heart. Take it.

I brought my hand up to sweep some of her hair before cupping her face. “I like you, Blondie, because I love challenges and things I don’t deserve. You’re such a hard one to get to pay attention to me. I like it.”

Her lips parted in disbelief. A small breath escaped them and a light turned on behind her eyes. She had a life to her I wanted to feel, to explore. She seemed so much more alive than anyone else I’d ever met.

“I, uh–” she stuttered, trying to look away. I held her hand firmly in place on my chest.

“What?” I tilted my head to follow where her eyes drifted to, wanting to hold her gaze. “Talk to me. If you don’t want to talk, I can think of something else we can do with our mouths.”

Dropping her eyes to the floor, I refused to let her look away. Grabbing her chin, I forced her to look back up to me. “I don’t want either of those,” she said, her voice barely a whisper.

“Such a little lair.” I dipped my face to hers and met her lips with mine. The way her hand gripped my shirt told me everything I needed to know about what she wanted.

Fuck, her lips are so soft.

Until she pulled away. “Isn’t this a conflict of interest?”

Growing impatient of her clothes still on her body, I slipped her up and over my shoulder, carrying her down to her bedroom. I’d never get tired of doing it, even when she beat on my back with her fists the whole way while she told me she hated me and to put her down.

Fat chance.

Locking the bedroom door, I tossed her onto the bed. Her eyes were wide in disbelief and her mouth was agape. “Wh-what are you doing?”

I grinned, climbing onto the bed and prowled towards her. “Whatever I want. Just like you told me to do.”

She backed away from me. “That’s not what I meant.”

“That’s what you said.” Grabbing her legs, I yanked her back to me. “Don’t say things so carelessly, babe. What was it you said last time? I want more?”

Completely underneath me, she squirmed under my touch. So cute. So innocent.

Her breathing sped up, hitching in the most adorable way. “Brent...”

“Yes?” I kissed her neck while my hands re-explored her body. I wanted to memorize every inch and feel her soft skin until the end of time.
