I wander the isles in the store, trying to figure out what I’m in the mood for. Merlot is normally my go to but there is something about a hot bath and Rosé that goes together perfectly. After a good ten minutes of debating, I end up getting both, then check out and leave the store with my bag in hand. As soon as I step outside, I notice two guys dressed similarly in jeans and hoodies with baseball caps; they’re standing near the rear of my car next to a large black SUV with tinted windows. A prickle slides down my spine as they turn to look at me, and I’m half tempted to spin around and go right back into the store.
“Hey baby.” A deep voice calls out and I look to my side finding a man approaching me, a man that is dressed exactly like the guy on the Harley minus the helmet. He’s big, probably over six feet with broad shoulders, dark hair that’s cut low on the sides, longer on top, with a thick well trimmed beard covering the lower half of his face and tattoos that I can see peeking over the collar of his shirt. “You didn’t tell me you were stopping here.”
“Umm.” My brows dart together, and I turn to check and see if there is someone behind me because I have no idea who he’s talking to. When I turn back around, he’s in my space–like all the way in my space and next thing I know his large palm is wrapped around the back of my neck and he uses it to pull me forward. Stunned stupid I do nothing as his soft, warm lips cover mine and he kisses me. I should not feel a zap of electricity snap to life between us or find this kiss hot considering I have no idea who he is. Still, the muscles in my lower belly twitch in response, then my core clenches when I feel his tongue drag across my bottom lip. Gasping I put my hand up against his chest to push him back, but he doesn’t let go or at least not completely.
“Don’t fight me, not with those guys watching,” he whispers against my lips and my body stills.
“Good girl.” He mumbles lifting his head and tucking my face against his chest under his chin while wrapping his free hand around my back. My heart pounds franticly against my ribcage and I’m sure I’m going to pass out as I listen to car doors slam and an engine start. “They’re leaving the lot now.” He rumbles holding me for a second longer, before letting me go and taking a step back.
“You kissed me.” I know those should not be the first words out of my mouth, but I’ve never felt what I just felt when kissing anyone, and I don’t know what to do with the fact that I swear my world spun when he was kissing me.
