“What I need,” Lina cut her off with her warm, husky voice. “Too many people concern themselves with what I need.” She hooked her finger into Bri’s belt and pulled her that single step closer, until Bri could feel Lina’s breath on her lips, the soft fabric of Lina’s dress against her leathers, the quickening thump of her heartbeat in her ears. Lina’s pupils widened, dilating until only the barest rim of brown circled her wanton gaze. She licked her parted lips and whispered, “If you don’t touch me right now, I’m going to combust.”
At her command, Bri’s hands darted to either side of Lina, caging her in. Her chest came forward and Bri pinned her supple body to the shelf behind her. Bri gloried in Lina’s mischievous smile, letting Bri be the predator even though they both knew Lina was no mouse. Lina’s soft curves pressed against Bri’s hard muscle, the sensation more glorious than a hot bath or a delicious meal, like the pillowy comfort of slipping into a warm bed. The shape of Lina’s body outlined against Bri’s own was the greatest sort of bliss. Bumps lifted across her arms, a tingling shooting from the crown of her head straight down to her core.
Their chests rose and fell in unison as Bri stared into Lina’s midnight eyes. Even in a library full of tomes, she was certain she’d find no words to describe this feeling. It existed beyond logic, beyond books or poems or songs. It was only ever meant to be felt . . . and all Bri knew was that she wanted more of it.
Lowering her head slowly until she was a whisper away, she waited for Lina to make the final move. The heady smell of jasmine wafted from her perfumed skin as Lina lifted her chin. Her full lips brushed against Bri’s own, and that taunting, sweet kiss made a hungry groan rise up Bri’s throat.
Lina smiled against Bri’s mouth, seemingly aware of the power she held in that moment. With one more agonizingly delicate kiss, their spark ignited into a blaze.
Bri’s hand snaked up to cup Lina’s neck as she enveloped her in a burning kiss. Lina’s giggle of surprise melted into a moan as Bri’s tongue swept into her mouth.
No more taunting.
Bri’s chest rose and fell faster, stealing the breath from her as their mouths fused together. Golden flashes of delight echoed through her body as Lina’s hips twisted, grinding into Bri’s muscled thigh. Bri’s free hand roamed up Lina’s curves, her thumb sweeping up the swell of Lina’s breasts and across her hardened nipple that peaked through the fabric of her dress. Slowly, she circled that stiff bud as Lina’s breaths shifted into pleasured hums.
