‘Thus, when we pray, pray with the belief and the purity that whomever we are praying to is hearing our plea. Believe in this. Then see the devotion that flows forth from you. It shall have a divine fragrance. Our prayers may not be answered but just being certain that our prayers are being heard itself shall make all the difference. Whether our prayer shall be answered or granted is a matter of destiny and dependent on the largest good for all concerned, which is a different matter, but at least knowing and being assured from within that our prayers are being heard shall make you pray with an intensity which has never arisen before. Our focus shall completely be with The One and with our prayer. There shall be depth, clarity, yearning, purity and truth in our prayer as we know that The One is hearing us out; She or He is within us, in front of us, hearing us.’

‘It is only when we think of prayers as a mandatory formality that our prayers start lacking the purity and concentration. It is like chanting a particular prayer or mantra for a number of times. We usually just rush through the entire process to complete the count. Even your Goddess, God and Guru will be astounded at how fast you have completed your prayer and chant. But if you are certain that you are being heard, if you are certain that The One is awake and hearing your chant, either within you, or in the celestial abode or in front of you; when you truly believe She or He is present, then automatically your prayer and your chant will take on a very different intensity and shall be done properly, calmly, patiently and in complete awareness. It will no longer be a formality but a calling.’

‘But, Baba, sometimes one has decided to pray a number of malas or rosary and speed is of essence.’

‘My silly rabbit, when you know that you are being heard, even if you chant with speed, there will be clarity in your chant and a focus in your prayer. That shall not be compromised. The love in your prayer will be ever present. That is why the other day I told you to pray as though The One resides within oneself, may be in a dormant form, and our entire focus is to awaken The One within. When that shall become your focus to awaken The One within you, trust Me, you will want to be heard and you will be certain about being heard, your prayers will exude a very beautiful intensity and fragrance. Thus, pray as though it is the last time you shall have the privilege of being able to pray. Pray as though your life depends upon it and pray being assured that your prayers are being heard.’
