And some guys.
His slightly musical voice drew out. “It’s important for your parent to state he is ill and needs you back. Otherwise, we cannot continue.” His lips thinned. “We would then be expected to complete our duties.”
I knew what he was alluding too and wasn’t sure if that was common sense or Omega intuition. Peter would have foolishly socked a guy – even a bigger one – for that. This new me? I wasn’t sure what he would do.
I stood there while the nipple chains rubbed against the white robe. Thankfully, the blue collar wasn’t restrictive, but it marked me as his.
It’s only for a short time.
His voice drew out, “Currently you are in what you Earthlings would call a grey area. Not of Earth, yet not of the Volardi.”
There must’ve been something on my face because he continued. “Typically, Volardi Omegas are not allowed to wander.”
“Allowed,” I repeated.
“It’s for your benefit. No Volardi may take another’s mate. Any that do are swiftly punished.” He frowned before he continued. “These are trying times for our people. We’ve kept our honor, but there are temptations. It’s best to be practical and ensure no Alpha will take you.”
I was about to ask when my ‘twin’ came through the door. Identical in every way except for the very noticeable bulged out stomach and a slight puffiness in the face. Only that and the purple eyes marked him differently. I frowned at the sight. It was strange, but I think what really irritated me was never forgetting. All around me were signs I could get pregnant. Be it the slick in my ass or a walking version of me that looked knocked up.
“He’s your protection,” said Matros. “I will have… duties to perform up here. I suspect I may be a distraction to your parent.” He gestured toward my twin. “Protection model. Not as social as most but reliable.”
“He’s pregnant or at least looks it,” I said. “Wouldn’t something well… your size be better?”
“You’re displeased, yet that is unavoidable. Simulacrums must look like their host to ease you into your new identity.”
A knocked-up guy’s my identity? Okay…
“And don’t dismiss his small size,” said Matros. “He’s a Volardi creation. We’re warriors.”
There were implications in that statement and I saw no way to avoid my chaperone. Jesus, this will be embarrassing. “Okay, let’s go to the ship.”
Matros’ eyebrows rose and his fingers touched the side of his forehead. He then stepped back. “No need.”
A slight breeze rose at my feet and turned into a quick burst of wind. Blackness came within seconds. It felt like falling in non-wet water with a hint of static electricity. Black turned into grey and then white again. The breeze repeated, and I found myself in my kitchen back on Earth.
Holy shit. I didn’t know they could do that.
A crash of dishes greeted my teleportation. I turned and saw my ‘reflection’ looking around the kitchen. Becky let out a low moan and pointed at us both.
