‘It most certainly is. And that’s an unidentified male at the wheel. It’s a private car, and a VRN check has it registered to Tactika Enterprises. A phone call to their transport section has it logged out to George Fellows, who is on Tactika’s payroll as an administrator. Fellows is also an ex-copper. He was discharged following a question mark over his temper. Moving on, the car was found by the forensic team, parked in one of the garages at Laurie Fell, and they’ve swept it for prints and DNA. It confirms that if Chloe and Sasha were posting about arriving at Laurie Fell – as if going to some kind of gathering, on Sunday night – it wasn’t their first trip there either, over the weekend.

‘On that note, the press office are hammering the details all over the papers, and it’s gone national like we were hoping. The media have picked up on it and I’m delighted to say they’ve caught on to the sleaze angle and are assuming we want to speak to the girls because they were there and they’re underage.’

‘That’ll infuriate Mrs Kennedy-Craig,’ Dan said.

‘Won’t it just?’ Kelly agreed. ‘If there’s one thing guaranteed to get under her skin, it’s the truth about her husband coming out in the press in a manner not controlled by her family. Let’s see what happens when I meet her son later. He’s flying up as we speak, and staying at the Glenridding hotel.’

Kelly closed the screen and opened another file. ‘The information from the six phones found at the crash site is in and the tech people have found a few red flags. One is this number,’ she said. ‘It’s on one of the phones found inside the helicopter, as well as on Nellie Lowther’s phone. Unfortunately, we can’t hold Nellie beyond tomorrow morning, when she’ll have to be released, pending charges and under the condition that she helps with inquiries. Dan and Emma, I want you to keep a close eye on Nellie when she leaves. I want to know where she goes and who she talks to. The number, by the way, is one listed to Tactika. Checks have traced it to a work-issued phone, and it was registered in the name of none other than our George Fellows. I don’t need to tell you how important it is that we find this man,’ she said, flicking the screen to a close-up of an image of the man from the CCTV footage, driving the girls. It wasn’t fantastically clear, and Tactika couldn’t, or wouldn’t, provide them with a work photo, so it was all they had.
