  74. Don't miss out!

He was even more excited when he’d come out of the men’s locker room, having changed into a pair of black silky boxers (all the submissives had been told to dress for ease of access when class had ended on Thursday), Mistress Lisa and Karen still weren’t there. His heart thumped unevenly in his chest when Olivia smiled at him from across the room, where she was standing in the bar area talking to Kincaid. The other Doms were at a different table. Zach and Brian doing their best to pretend like they weren’t trying to overhear whatever Kincaid and Olivia were talking about, while Mitch ruined their attempt by blatantly leaning towards them. Judging from the look of strain on his face, he wasn’t hearing much.

Rather than joining the female submissives in the Lounge area, Luke headed over to Kincaid and Olivia. Since she saw him coming and didn’t shake her head or gesture for him to stay away, he didn’t hesitate about coming and standing right beside her. Kincaid’s gaze slid towards him, but he didn’t break in his explanation.

“... no forwarding address and no place of employment that we can find,” he said, looking resigned.

“What’s up?” Luke asked.

“Basically, Roland has become a ghost,” Olivia said with a sigh. She tugged on the bottom of the red corset she was wearing, not because it needed it but because her hands obviously needed something to do. “He was kicked out of his apartment three months ago, the registration on his car is expired and they found the car in a junkyard, and there’s no current employment record to help find him.”

“I’m starting to go around to friends and family,” Kincaid said grimly. His eyes looked a bit reddish and strained, like he wasn’t getting enough sleep. Since he said “I” instead of “we”, Luke kind of assumed he meant he was doing the legwork, not the police department. Which wasn’t too surprising. Lacking an actual physical attack, the police were kind of notorious for not getting overly involved in stalking cases. “Zach’s been helping with that, as much as he can. Roland doesn’t have too many friends left though. Apparently he’s been drinking pretty heavily and possibly drugs as well. I’m pretty convinced he’s doing this, I just can’t figure out how he’s been figuring out where Olivia is. Especially if he’s got some kind of alcohol or substance abuse problem now.”

“You’ll figure it out,” Olivia said, reaching out to pat his bicep comfortingly. “Or he’ll show up at some point and we’ll kick his ass.”

“Or it’s not him at all and we’re completely in the dark,” Kincaid muttered, dragging his hand over his face. “That’s the thought that haunts me.”

Olivia and Luke both made faces.

“Yeah, thanks for that,” Luke said dryly.
