  74. Don't miss out!

Well, probably not really, since Patrick’s basement wasn’t covered in their club contract. Although, he’d be talking to her about it later. Maybe she’d be willing to renegotiate their current contract to include letting him dominate her for small infractions like that while they were in a group setting...

It was something to think about anyway.

Stopping in front of her door, Michael managed to get her keys out of her purse and open it with one hand, his other arm completely occupied with helping hold her up.

“Come in,” she said, jolting forward and pulling him with her. “You should come in.”

Almost as soon as he had, an orange blur hit his leg and latched on, needle like claws digging into his calf as big green eyes stared up at him. Michael bit back a yelp of surprise and pain as he stiffened, keeping his body completely still.

“Watson, I presume,” he gritted through his teeth as he quickly shut the door behind him. All he needed was to accidentally let Ellie’s cat out of the apartment while she was completely wasted.

She blinked up at him, her big dark eyes filled with joy. “He likes you!”

As if to punctuate her sentence, Watson started climbing his leg, little needle claws punching through the fabric of his jeans to scratch against his skin. Since Ellie seemed to be okay holding herself upright while they weren’t moving, he let her go long enough to bend down and scoop up the purring cat off his leg.

Damn sadist cat.

Although, the way Ellie was beaming at him, like he’d done something amazing, meant he would willingly take whatever form of “liking” Watson dished out. The little fluffball was a lot cuter in pictures than in person, although that might just be the tingling prickles on his leg talking now.

Watson rubbed his face against Michael’s chin, still purring.

Okay, maybe he was almost as cute in person.

“Good Watson,” Ellie said, leaning against Michael to rub her cat behind the ears. “You know a good man when you see him, don’t you?”

Yeah, Watson was pretty great.

Sliding his arm around Ellie’s waist, Michael managed to get a good grip on both her and the cat. “Alright sweetheart, I think we need to get you into bed.”

“You too,” she said, starting to move. Michael immediately moved with her, dividing his attention between her and Watson - who was still head-butting Michael’s chin every couple of seconds and purring like a small motor - as she led him down the hall to her bedroom. It didn’t give him much of a chance to look around, but he did get an impression of a warm, cozy apartment with lots of colors and cushions, knickknacks on display, and lots of cat pictures.
