Dany watched patiently, mesmerized at the sight of his boyfriend with another man. He saw him in a new light, realized how truly beautiful he was and how lucky they were to have each other. He wasn’t worried. He wasn’t jealous. He was just there and present. Adam turned from Brad and smiled before closing the gap and meeting Dany’s mouth. Excitement and dread shot through Dany as he felt Brad’s eyes watching them. He hoped that Brad would see what he had seen and feel what he had felt. The taste of a new boy and his firm body pressed against him made Dany feel newly alive. As Adam gently pulled away, he instinctively followed his lips as an insatiable hunger grew inside him. Dany felt an arm circle round his waist and turned as Brad whispered in his ear, “I love you, babe.”
Dany met his boyfriend’s eyes and knew without a doubt he’d made the right decision. “I love you too.”
The two-man tent was the perfect fit for three that night as the boys shared kisses and caresses without restraint. They explored and appreciated each other’s bodies, sometimes watching, sometimes leading, and sometimes being lead. Finally, satiated and content, they fell into an exhausted slumber.
BRAD SQUINTED at the morning light dancing across his face as the tent flap flicked in the breeze. He nuzzled into Dany’s neck and felt behind him for Adam, but came up with nothing more than handfuls of sleeping bag. After waiting for nearly two hours, the boys finally packed up the tent and supplies into their backpacks.
“Well, he must have moved on,” Dany repeated for the fifth time that morning.
Brad paced around the campsite, unable to let it go. “A good-bye might have been nice or appropriate.”
“Who knows what’s appropriate in this case? What was it he said on the cliff? He likes to observe, not interrupt,” Dany reasoned. “He didn’t want to interrupt us. He knew it was time to move on.”
“I guess so.”
“We just got the best of both worlds, right? We had an awesome night and skipped the awkward morning-after conversation,” Dany said as he walked over to Brad and gave him a hug. “Come on, babe, back to town?”
Brad nodded with a smile. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For being so cool. For being you and going on this crazy ride with me. It was really sexy watching you be with him,” Brad admitted, “but I think I’m good with just one man. It actually made me a little jealous—”
“Really?” Dany interrupted, trying to hide a smile.
“Yeah,” Brad shrugged. “Experiment over.”
