He reached Miss Thomas’s house on the evening of the party at the fixed time. All the guests had gathered by 9 p.m. There were four women, including a young south Indian girl whose features were spectacular. There were four men who were of the same age as him and one was an elderly person. He was well acquainted with those who regularly attended the various discussions that happened at Miss Thomas’s house. He was introduced to those he did not know. All of them were engrossed in conversation. Miss Thomas had already ordered food for the guests in advance. The Luciferian dance started at ten. To begin, Miss Thomas invited the elderly man to give a speech. He expressed his views on ‘the universe and darkness’. He claimed that Lucifer was the Prince of Darkness and would soon engulf the false light of the world. After which, the south Indian girl who had told Yusuf that her name was Sangarma, recited a poem in Hindi. She had written the poem in her mother tongue and had translated it into Hindi.
The running theme of the poem was that God tried to misuse Lucifer’s intense love, devotion, knowledge, wisdom and innocence for his own benefits and on realizing this, Lucifer decided to trample on the footprints of God and refused those of his proposals that God had forced upon him as his will. She concluded the poem with a speech where she elaborated on the same theme. Lucifer had put his being at risk to interpret the soul of God, but on the other hand God did what was against the principles. He tried to subvert the importance of the soul over the material. To insult Lucifer, God decided to put soul within the material. Lucifer refused to become a part of this. After that, God created novel powers and organisms that would be responsible for portraying Lucifer’s silence in the world as his trap. Lucifer still remained silent. Lucifer knew that one day God would have to face embarrassment in the universe because of this game. That day Lucifer would dethrone him and bring him to justice.
Miss Thomas was the first to start applauding the speech as soon as it ended. Everyone applauded after her. Yusuf also joined in. As soon as Miss Thomas stood up to present her dissertation, Sangarma presented a drink in a black-coloured glass. Everyone took a sip each. Miss Thomas claimed that the drink was to celebrate the time when there would be no evil on the face of the earth and the human soul would live in freedom. To explain herself she said that there was a time when the earth was still free from the trap of religion, when a human was nothing more than a human and the earth was in celebration all through the day and night. The knowledge and proof of this was not just present in history but its music and rhythm had been preserved in the ancient wisdoms of the world. Miss Thomas said that the odour of a girl’s body had been preserved in this drink. The odour of that girl who was intoxicated with the ecstasy of her first menstruation. There were other distinct ingredients in the drink. The smell of the drink was as brilliant and as stunning as human sweat.
