He slipped the band onto my finger and stood to a round of cheering and applause, the people fading back into reality as I took Noah into the most meaningful kiss of my life, holding his head in my hands and saying yes over and over against his lips. I didn’t even realize I started to cry until Noah rubbed away a teardrop from my cheek, looking up at me with the entire star-filled sky captured inside his eyes.
A hand came to fall down on my back, and soon I was wrapped up in a tight hug. It was Eric congratulating us. Tristan had picked up Noah and swung him around in a circle, nearly hitting Jess and Tia, who were holding a bottle of champagne while Yvette held the plastic cups. The entire book club was here—my people, Noah’s family.
My previous assumption about tonight had been totally wrong. It wasn’t magical at all. That would imply that it was fake, that it was a made-up fantasy. Except this was all real. The intense warmth and floaty happiness that turned the concrete into clouds wasn’t fake at all.
Neither was my love for Noah, and I intended on showing him exactly that tonight.

Noah Barnes
We barely lasted a couple of seconds once we got into the house before all our clothes came off and we were butt-ass naked in the living room, hands flying over bodies, gripping and tugging and stroking and kneading. I kissed Jake—my fiancé. The ring on my finger felt like it weighed a hundred pounds while also making me weightless at the same time. It was like attaching a new limb to my body, my senses hyperaware of the metallic coolness that clung tight around my ring finger.
It was perfect. Tonight was perfect.
Jake was perfect, and now he was mine, forever, to have and to hold.
And to suck.
I dropped down to my knees, unable to hold myself back any longer. I had to taste him. His cock was easily my favorite thing to put in my mouth. He was girthy and long and uncircumcised and always dripping with precome. He fit perfectly between my lips as I took him in, looking up at the man of my dreams, the glint of my silver band against his tan thigh catching my eye.
My heart skipped a beat, my dick throbbed, and my entire body lit up like a freshly born star.
“You look so good with my dick in your mouth,” Jake said, a teasing grin playing on his big lips. He had trimmed his beard, shaving it along the neck to make his jawline even more prominent, making him look as sharp as a high-powered executive.
