Noble changed his form enough to give him hands and fingers. There was an on/off switch on one side of the generator, but that was too simple. If he switched the generator off, it could easily be turned back on in seconds. He needed something more that would give the pack at least an hour of darkness. He looked on the other side of the generator and saw a jumble of wires leading to the lights strung up around the site.
Noble switched the generator off. It died after just a few seconds. The lights around the camp slowly began to dim. The man’s laughter could be heard for a moment over the dying generator, then, “What the—”
Noble grabbed the wires connected to the generator…and pulled.
In an instant, the camp was shrouded in darkness.

“That must be the signal,” Harlan said.
Tora shook her head. “I can’t believe he walked right into the camp like that. He could have been killed.”
Argus nodded. “He’s either braver than he lets on, or he’s not as smart as we think.”
“Never mind that now,” said Harlan. “Let’s go.”
The three of them headed down toward the camp, transforming not into wolves, but into their full werewolf form.
The plan was simple. If there were angry spirits in these woods, then it was time for them to show their anger.
With the lights out, the camp had become a mass of confusion. Some loggers ran, shouting for the generator, while others produced flashlights with beams that cut through the darkness like blades of light.
Argus was the first to pounce. He leaped onto the back of a logger, knocking the man to the ground and sending his shotgun tumbling to the dirt. The man was knocked senseless by the force of the blow, but that didn’t stop Argus from turning the guy over and tearing his clothes from his body.
Noble had been very specific in his instructions; they were out to raise a little hell. They could scare the crap out of anyone they wanted, as long as they didn’t so much as cause a single scratch on anybody. It was tough to frighten someone without hurting them, but that just made it more of a challenge.
When the man opened his eyes, Argus lowered his face until there were scant inches between them. The man blinked a couple of times, then Argus opened his maw and let out the loudest, most terrifying roar he could.
The man’s hair was blown back by the blast and his eyes began to water.
