Standing between her thighs, he kissed her again, and she got lost in the taste of him. He dipped his head down, and his hot mouth on the tip of her breast sent a jolt of lust through her. He kissed her, warming her and teasing her and making her insides tighten, and then he moved to the other side. She tangled her fingers in his thick hair, loving the silky dampness of it. His mouth pulled and tugged, and she pressed against him, bringing him closer with the heels of her boots.
It felt so good, everything he was doing, and she couldn’t believe they were here together in his dark kitchen. She glanced around the room and her gaze went to the computer again as his mouth moved to her neck.
“Let’s go to your bedroom,” she whispered.
He stopped and looked at her. The raw desire in his eyes was unmistakable. But he seemed to hesitate, and suddenly she felt a tug of doubt.
“Hold on to me,” he said, sliding his hands over hers and moving them to his neck.
“You don’t have to—”
He picked her up and walked her through the slick foyer.
“Oh my God. You’re going to slip and break our necks,” she yelped, clenching her legs around him.
He walked her into his bedroom, and she glanced around as he lowered her onto the firm expanse of his bed. It was covered with a navy bedspread, and a dim shaft of light came from the bathroom.
He rested his knee between her thighs. “This better?” he asked, stretching over her.
She nodded, anxious all over again because this was really happening. She slid her hands under his shirt, thrilled to touch the warm heat of his skin under the damp fabric. She tugged at it, and he pulled it over his head, then tossed it to the floor and eased down to kiss her again.
He settled between her thighs, and she squirmed instinctively against the hard ridge of him. He kissed her deeply, exploring her mouth again, as she ran her hands over his muscular back and lean hips. She slid her hands over his pockets and felt the outline of his phone. Her stomach knotted.
Brandon pulled back. Propping his weight on an elbow, he looked down at her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“Could you put your phone in the other room?”
He stared down at her.
“Sorry, I just—”
He kissed her forehead. “It’s okay,” he said, pushing up from the bed. He disappeared into the hallway, and she sighed and stared up at the ceiling. She hated that she was like this, but she couldn’t help it, and she wouldn’t be able to relax if there was a phone in the room.
