The San Francisco Prospectors, under the leadership of T.K. Mann, play a slow, conservative, mainly offensive game. They led the league this year in yards gained rushing, but had the league’s lowest LPR and KIP. With an average age of twenty nine (up nearly four years from their average in Killerbowl XX), they’re the oldest team in the league, a statistic reflected in their relatively lackluster fourth quarter performances during the regular season.

Experts look for them to attempt to pass their way to an early lead and then try and hold on by stalling in the game’s later stages.

The main strength of the New England Minutemen, quarterbacked by the sensational Harv Matision, lies in a stunning defense. The Minutemen gave up less ground, and had a higher collective kill ratio than any other team in the league. Only twenty five years old on the average, they have less experience than the elderly Prospectors, but far more endurance.

Experts expect the Minutemen to go with a strategy of decimation, killing or wounding as many Prospectors as they have to in order to insure themselves a victory.

In a hotly fought contest earlier in the year, the Prospectors handed the Minutemen their only loss of the season. The Minutemen are extremely eager to prove, via this return match, that the victory was nothing more than a lucky fluke.

The Pro Grid Line rates the Minutemen a slim seven point favorite to win, thereby retaining their Killerbowl Crown.

Other odds being quoted include 2 to 1 in favor of Harv Matision staying alive, and, in a startling development, 10 to 1 against T.K. Mann doing the same.

The Playing Area

Boston

The playing area for Killerbowl XXI was once one of the most prestigious residential locations in Boston. Such well-known people as Hearst Brockington, Louella Gold and Jason B. F. Krull all lived there at one time or another. The area still harbors Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art and portions of Suffolk University.

The entire section is slated to be rebuilt as part of Boston’s Model Cities Project, a low-cost housing and urban redevelopment undertaking scheduled for completion in August 2015.

While several brand-new skyscrapers have already been erected in conjunction with the area’s modernization, an older form of architecture predominates. Old style, low-lying brick row houses, shops and office buildings, honeycombed with alleyways and riddled with tiny alcoves, offer countless offensive and defensive opportunities.

Football experts rate the area slightly in favor of the Minutemen with their hard charging style of play, although most agree that the Prospectors, should they prove able to overcome the strong Minutemen defense, will find the area uniquely well suited to complex offensive strategies, as well.
