  33. About the Author

I whimpered but parted my lips, my brain too exhausted to reason out that he couldn't be feeding me his cock from this position.

Instead warmth and sweetness hit my tongue. I moaned and managed to lift my head, drinking the coffee eagerly, creamy and foamy and caffeinated.

"If you really wanted me to stop, you would have to use a better word than that," Khell'ar said as I drank, reminding me of my safe word.

Did that mean he wanted to have sex again? Surely it had been more than a dozen times in the night? Had I imagined some of it? Maybe the soft frottage in the middle, but no, my stomach was still sticky from where he'd come on me. So were my thighs, my lips and cheeks and jaw and…

Khell'ar was grinning, eyes crinkled at the corners, as I grew more alert.

I was a mess. Every inch of me was sore and every inch of me had been licked and kissed and sucked. My ass was… He hadn't fucked it, but he'd spoken about it and stretched me there with his fingers, something Harry had been interested in but too nervous to commit to.

In fact, I wasn't the only thing that was a mess. The bed looked like it had been hit by a tornado, and I had no clear recollection who had torn the sheet at the corner or when all the pillows had been thrown to the floor. Even better, Khell'ar was rumpled. There were soft, dark lines on his skin that must've been scratches from me, and his lips were visibly swollen. He didn't look tired, but more relaxed than during dinner the night before.

I opened my lips to say the word that would call a stop to any of Khell'ar's plans. I was too tired, too sore, too euphorically satisfied to continue. And then a delicate whisper of curiosity bubbled up in my head. But what were his plans? Did I really want to refuse before I knew? I could call a halt to our activities at any time, it didn't have to be now.

My lips shut, and Khell'ar's smile widened as if in reward of my silence.

"That's a good girl," the orc purred, gaze glowing.

That tear and scratch and growl of his voice, layered deliciously, had found its way under my skin and crawled through me like a secret nervous system, lighting up my body whenever he spoke.

"Pretty little blush," he continued, staring down at my body, hands squeezing and petting at me, one leaving my hip to come up and simply roll my breast against his vast palm. "Like a little flower. Not pet, but petal."

"You're going to kill me," I whispered, eyes growing wide even as my body seemed to follow a natural magnetism, arching into his touch.
