She didn’t move, she wanted him to come inside of her.
“Get up, yo.”
When Ria didn’t budge, he shoved her from atop of him, but not before the first load of semen was shot inside of her.
“Kennedy, what’s taking Chaz so long?” Kennedy’s sister Kenyatta asked as they sat aboard the luxury private jet owned by Yatta’s husband, Strick. Strick also owned T.O.N.Y. Records, the label that Kennedy and Chaz both were signed to.
“I don’t think he’s coming.”
“What do you mean?”
“Exactly what I said,” Kennedy snapped.
“Hold up, why you comin’ at me like that?”
“My bad, sis,” Kennedy removed her shades, revealing her red puffy eyes. “I’ve been up all night.”
“Have you been crying?”
“Yeah,” Kennedy nodded. “Chaz said the wedding is off and left.”
“Why?”
“’Cause I didn’t tell him I was taking Jordan to meet Brian or that I’d been in contact with him.”
“Back up, you let Brian meet Jordan? When?”
“Yesterday,” Kennedy responded, then went on to tell her everything that happened.
When Kennedy finished, Kenyatta simply shook her head and said to her, “I thought you learned your lesson a long time ago about being so secretive.”
“Apparently not,” Kennedy said sarcastically.
Before they could continue their conversation, Chaz’s daughters came running onto the jet. “Hey, Ken-Ken,” they sang, almost in unison. “Hey, Auntie Yatta.”
Kennedy opened her arms wide to embrace the girls, “Hi, Tiki and Chastity.”
“Where’s Jordan?” asked Tiki.
“He’s back there with Jada and them. They’re watching The Incredibles.” Kennedy looked up and saw Chaz standing before her. They looked at each other, and what was only seconds felt like hours.
Yatta stood up and grabbed Tiki’s and Chastity’s hands. “Come on, girls, let’s go back here with all the kids and get you buckled in.”
Chaz sat down next to Kennedy without saying a word.
“I didn’t think you were coming,” Kennedy told him.
“I don’t know why.”
“’Cause you said the wedding was off, and you didn’t come home last night or this morning. Where were you, anyway?”
“I rode around for a while, then I went to the studio.” The lie rolled off his tongue naturally, due to the fact he’d been practicing it from the time he’d left Ria’s house. “How you feelin’?”
“Tired. Since I didn’t get any sleep last night.”
“We here now and I’m sober, so let’s put it on Broadway. Am I still mad at you? Hell, yeah. I’m nowhere near mad enough not to marry you, never that. Really, I’m more hurt than I am mad.”
Kennedy lowered her head and mumbled, “I’m sorry.” Chaz placed his finger beneath her chin and lifted her face up. “Don’t be sorry, just don’t be deceitful.”

Kennedy’s nuptials were held outside on the lawn of The Green in downtown Charlotte. It was the wedding that every little girl dreams of. The weather was picture perfect, sunny, and seventy-seven degrees. Big pink roses hung heavily around the altar. The smell of fresh grass and the natural fragrance of the flowers filled the air. Kennedy’s four bridesmaids, her older sister, Kenyatta; her younger sister, Kneaka; Kisa; and Eisani all wore powder-pink chiffon halter dresses. Chaz and his groomsmen wore beige tuxedos with pink ties. The four flower girls littered the aisle with mounds of yellow roses for Kennedy to step on. All in attendance agreed that Jordan was the most handsome ring bearer they’d ever seen.
