- The Silent Daughter
Finally, a word on OCD and mental health in general. I hope I have done justice to Sam’s situation here; it’s important to note that it is obviously not intended as a comprehensive representation of OCD, which can manifest in a huge variety of ways and, like many conditions, can range from very acute to sub-clinical (where symptoms are so mild and non-disruptive that we essentially just see them as aspects of someone’s personality).
Labels and diagnoses can be useful for some people and less so for others, so this book isn’t meant to offer any “instructions” on how any parent should proceed. But I believe that when problems have patterns, understanding the patterns can help us address the problems, so with that in mind, if any readers would like to learn more about OCD, here are some resources that might be useful to you:

That’s all so far for the journey with Gillian and family. Meanwhile if you’d like to stay in touch with me about future books, I’d be delighted!
You can sign up to my monthly newsletter of recommended reads (or learn more about it) here. If you’d like a download of free Book Club Discussion Questions first, you can also get those here.
You can also come find me on Facebook, or follow me on Amazon or Bookbub. Finally: for readers who haven’t read my standalone psychological suspense novel, The Silent Daughter, you can scroll on to the free sample after the Acknowledments page if you’d like to check that out. If you do, I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you again for spending time with Sam, Gillian, and their families, I hope you enjoyed it.
All my best wishes,
Claire

How wonderful to be on Book Number Three…and with every book, I realize with increasing gratitude how many people are to be thanked for enabling me to get this far.
First of all I just have to thank you, the reader. I am, of course, beyond grateful to the many readers who’ve bought a book or two of mine, or who’ve recommended it to a friend, or shared mention of it on Facebook. Word of mouth is still the most important and meaningful advertisement a writer can hope for, and it makes me so happy that readers have found things in these pages they want to share.
