I slid my thumb along her inner thigh, down to the soft thatch of hair, searching for the tiny bundle of nerves that I needed, that she needed. My thumb grazed her clit as we moved, my eyelids heavy as I watched her spine bow, biting her lip to contain the moan that wanted out. I danced my thumb away. Lou growled like a pissed-off kitten. Her eyes were hot on mine as I very slowly brought my thumb up and licked it before returning it to exactly where she wanted. Her breathing stuttered and then she gasped as I changed to harder, deeper thrusts.

Every muscle in her body suddenly locked as she arched against me. My heart thundered as we froze in place, her body grasping mine in waves. Then I thrust again, trying to prolong it, rocking our bodies together, faster, harder, until a white-hot lick of pleasure shot up my spine. I came with a jagged moan, my hands tight on her hips, holding her to me.

I think I forgot how to breathe.

My heart continued pounding in my ears as I collapsed into her arms, my face turned in to her neck. We stayed like that, locked together, her hands stroking my back until our heartbeats slowed. Suddenly feeling bad that I was crushing her, I propped myself up on my elbow. Lou had a soft smile on her face.

Fuck, she was beautiful.

“I didn’t just eat the poison cookie,” she said, throwing an arm above her head. “I ate the whole pack and now I’m dead.”

My heart lurched. Was she already regretting it? I didn’t want her to regret it, especially since I was already wondering when we could do it again. “I thought you were letting that analogy die.” I licked along her collarbone, sucking gently when I got to the end. “Because I don’t want to be poison.”

She brushed her fingers over my lips. Then she shoved me onto my back, rolling over until she was on top, but keeping me inside her. She leaned in, her face over mine. “It’s okay. It turns out I’ve built up an immunity.”

“Am I your iocane powder?”

She paused, her lips hovering over mine. “Did you just quote Princess Bride at me? Naked? In my bed?”

“Yes?” I hated that it came out as a question. “Is that bad?”

“Declan,” she said, her hands on my face, her eyes inches from mine. “If you don’t fuck me again this second, I really will die.”

I laughed, relief hitting my system like a drug. “As you wish.” I fisted my hands into her hair and kissed her. “We’re going to need to buy more condoms.”

“I have like half a box,” she breathed. “There’s probably five more in there.”

“I know,” I said, reaching for the drawer. “I’ll go to the store tomorrow.” Because I planned to go through that box by morning.
